Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine: 2010 Remaster
TVT – HALO 2

The 80s are now 30 years gone, but if you’ve been looking for an excuse to revisit pop/industrial classics like Pretty Hate Machine, look no further… the PHM 2010 Re-Master is here! If you are like me and lost your copy of this NIN debut long ago, let me refresh your memory:

01 HEAD LIKE A HOLE
02 TERRIBLE LIE
03 DOWN IN IT
04 SANCTIFIED
05 SOMETHING I CAN NEVER HAVE
06 KINDA I WANT TO
07 SIN
08 THAT'S WHAT I GET
09 THE ONLY TIME
10 RINGFINGER
11 GET DOWN, MAKE LOVE (originally on the CD single for SIN)

The packaging is awesome, of course, but what about the sound? While there may not be a way to reproduce that blown-away experience of the original release, it’s not 1989 anymore and the remastering does keep the album sounding fresh (a bit like fluffing a pillow to make it less flat).

Loyal fans and DJs will want this in their collections, particularly due to the inclusion of the queen cover “Get Down, Make Love” (originally included only on the single release for the song “SIN”).

If you somehow missed Pretty Hate Machine the first time around, here is your engraved invitation to get out and enjoy the re-release! Amazon.com is selling this inexpensively enough for me to highly recommend this release.
